What should be done to start the reducer?
1. Start and test run of reducer
The speed reducer is recommended to run in at the beginning of use. If possible, the load and speed should be increased to the zui size in 2-3 steps, about 10 hours. During the trial operation, check the performance of the reducer's stable operation: vibration, operation noise, temperature, leakage and lubrication.
2. Load check of reducer
The specified loads should be checked during commissioning and start-up. Pay particular attention to peak loads, as their frequency may be critical to the life of the reducer.
3. Preparation measures
Corrosion resistance should be removed from the outside surface of the reducer and care should be taken not to damage the seal. Detergents can only be used in solvents without aromatic hydrocarbons, which do not damage rubber seals. Sealing flanges and surfaces cannot be mechanically removed by wiping.
If the reducer has been stored for two years before use, it is recommended to use the reducer's own lubrication system for no-load rotation.
4. Starting and control
Before starting the pressure lubricated reducer, it is necessary to check the function of the pressure lubricated system through the test run. At the same time, check whether the rotation direction of the pump motor is correct and whether the overload relay is appropriate. It is very important to monitor the function of the pressure lubricated system at the critical moment of the interlock operation between the drive motor and the pump motor. Ensure that the oil supply and pressure surface establish the oil pressure.
When starting, make sure that the speed reducer turns in the correct direction, as indicated by the arrow. Before starting, the shaft and coupling should be properly protected.
